Yayasan Perspektif Baru (YPB) founded by Wimar Witoelar is a non-profit organization in the field of public education with the mission to provide balanced information for Indonesian people.

YPB actively socializing public issues especially politic (democracy and pluralism) and environment (climate change).

  • Radio Talk Show

    Perspektif Baru (New Perspective) radio program is a 30-minute radio talk show presenting the views of ordinary people and their perspectives on various issues. The program is broadcasted every week to hundreds of radio stations throughout Indonesia, and also aired on our YouTube channel @Perspektif Wimar TV.

    We have extensive experiences in implementing public education and socialization on various issues especially environment and politic. We arranged series of campus roadshows, journalist trips, and seminars, to disseminate information and provide more in-depth knowledge for those who have an interest and concern for the subjects.

    YPB has the expertise to deliver communication trainings for community activists and non-government organizations (NGOs). The trainings are aimed to leverage the public speaking, media writing, media interviews and media relations skills.

Current Projects

Climate change mitigation campaign

By involving students in climate change socialization, we create an opportunity for students to act as agents of change to influence their community, and start to take part to mitigate the impact of climate change. Started in 2005, it has become an annual program that promotes issues from voter education, renewable energy and energy security, to carbon tax.

Campus education

Delivering knowledge for local communities in waste management practices and waste to energy programs. The activity is targeting housewives and students as the main participants. Currently, we are implementing the program in the Cibatu Village, Garut, West Java. The activity provides learning to the participants about climate change, waste management, and circular economy.
